Gothel stepped on to the street looking refreshed. Being immortal had it consequences. And one of those punishments was being so tired, you go into a deep sleep. The last time she counted, she should have died three times already. Three times in one year. She needed to be more careful.
As she hopped up on to the sidewalk, she pulled her sunglasses down over her eyes. They were big and round, complimenting her cheeks. Her curly black hair cascaded over her shoulder. And she was dressed to kill.
A tight red dress stopped mid-thigh. It was ribbed on the sides and her hips strained against the fabric in a not-so-bad way. Gothel wore black peep-toe heels with perfectly polished toes in her signature dark red color. In her matching manicured hands was a black hand-held purse.
All she needed was someone to notice her.
My head hurts so bad
Gothel is fuming mad.
“Mother…are you alright? You look angry.”
“It’s nothing Rapunzel! You wouldn’t understand!” She snapped, throwing beauty products.
“But, Mother,” Rapunzel started, watching Gothel cautiously, “Maybe I can help somehow.”
Gothel sneered. “No. There’s nothing a naive little girl like you can do. Don’t you understand!? Oh god! I was so busy trying to protect you, I didn’t try to protect me. “
Gothel is fuming mad.

Duffy was running through the wood, dodging the trees, pretending someone was chasing him. Something he often did seeing as he was an only child and Mama doesn’t chase anymore and Papa was busy. Suddenly he came to a clearing with a beautiful creek and a very tall tower. Mama had warned him about clearings and not to spend too much time out in the open but this one seemed alight. “WHHHHHOOOOOHOOOOO!” he shouted as he ran out into the open.
Gothel looked at the mirror, mesmerized by her reflection. She was brushing out her raven curls when she heard a child-like screech. Frowning, she turned away from her beautiful self and set her brush. Who ever was interrupting her better have a good reason why. With a disdainful look, she peered out of the towers window and saw the little bear. “What!?”
